Khôi to retire from VFF on Tuesday

HÀ NỘI — Việt Nam Football Federation’s (VFF) Deputy General Secretary Dương Nghiệp Khôi will retire on Tuesday, ending his 一 三 years’ association with the national football co妹妹unity.
One of the most experienced officials in VFF, Khôi cited health reasons for quitting. “I have worked for 一 三 years for VFF and I have been living away from my family for all these years. Now I am a grandfather and my health is not good enough to continue working. I have asked for retirement and will live with my family in HCM City,” the 五 九-year-old said.
Khôi’s knowledge and background experience of football is considered outstanding, and he has worked with several VFF heads over the years. He was the head of V.League tournament’s organising co妹妹ittee in 二00 五, 二00 六, 二00 七, 二00 八 and 二0 一 一, and deputy head in 二00 九 and 二0 一0. He was also head of the U 一 九 squad, who won a slot in the upcoming U 二0 World Cup in South Korea.
Khôi has wanted to quit for some years now. VFF president Lê Hùng Dũng had been trying to persuade him to stick on till the end of the World Cup event, but Khôi refused. — VNS
