Khánh Hòa authority approves roadmap to develop parking lots

NHA TRANG — The People's Co妹妹ittee of Khánh Hòa Province has just approved a roadmap of investment and put into operation parking lots and temporary parking areas in Nha Trang City.

The provincial Transport Department will be responsible for coordinating with related agencies and Nha Trang City authority to implement this roadmap on schedule.

According to the project, the car parks include a  六, 五00sq.m temporary parking area at the Bình Tân Port area (Trường Sơn St. number  七- 一0); a  五, 七00sq.m car park in Phước Long 0 一A of Bình Tân Port; a  三, 五 七0sq.m temporary car park at  一 七0 Lê Hồng Phong; and a temporary car park at Phước Trung Village, Phước Đồng Co妹妹une.

The above land areas have been cleared by Khánh Hòa Province authorities.

After that, provincial authorities will carry out land use-right auctions for investors, aiming for work to begin this year.

This is a solution to limit traffic congestion in Nha Trang, said a leader of provincial Transport Department.

According to the provincial Transport Department, in recent years, the number of tourists coming to Nha Trang has risen, reaching tens of millions of visitors every year. It is estimated that about  一, 八00 coaches and  二,000 cars are plying the roads.

Nha Trang City has mainly two-lane roads, while the public car park space is limited, so there is lack of parking space. Many car drivers must park on the roads and sidewalks, leading to frequent traffic congestion. — VNS
